BRITANNIA THEATRE.
A spectacular William Fox production, "Checkers," is now being screened .afc the Britannia Theatre. It tells of a Southern beauty who falls in love with Checkers, the r£-cs tout. He grooms a horse owned by the girl for a rich stake, and in getting the horse to the race] track encounters tremendous difficulties. At the last minute, just before the race is to start, the jockey is maliciously blinded, and ' the young girl rides the horae to victory. Johnnie Walker and Edna Murphy are the stars in the gupporting picture, "The Jolt."
