WELLINGTON CHAMBER'S
RESOLUTION
!A largely attended meeting of mem. bers of the Council, of ,the. Wellington Chamber of Commerce assembled yesterday to discuss the decision of the. Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, to affiliate with the Alliance of Labour. Very strong feeling was expressed by] members of, the .council, and tiie. following motion was carried unanimously :—•• ''That this Chamber deplores the actiort of the Past and Telegrapli Officers' Association in joining the Alliance of Lahoiir, atid respectfully calls upon the Government to refuse to recognise such affiliation, and also to make it illegal for any body of the Public Service loally itself with any sectional or class or-, ganisation; further, that this • Chamber is prepared tg support the.. Government
in any action it may deem necessar_y. to take in order to prevent the Public Service from being placed under labour union control."
