AN EXPERIMENT.
■A younfr man who prided himself on his scientific knowledge went to call on a professor one evening. He found his friend bending over a spirit lamp on which a small pot bubbled. "What is it this time?" asked the young man. "Guess," said the professor. "Micrococci?" "No." "Sonooocci?" "No." "Spirochaeta?" "No." "Give it up." "Sausages," •aid tho professor, poking his evening, meal.
