EMPRESS THEATRE.
Another double feature programme .is being shown at the . Empress Theatre. Wallace Reid, perhaps the most popular and dashing screen hero, appears in "Rent Free," a sparkling and lively comedy-drama that is brimful of the style of action so admirably portrayed by the popular artist. Tha other picture is "Blackbirds," in which. Justine • Johnstone, who is termed one of America's most famous beauties, takes the lead. The story concerns a band composed of the very aristocracy of crooks. It is full of daring and sensation, but fate proves too strong. _ The ending is as novel a3 it is interesting. There ig a good supporting programme, including a'Mack Sen-' nett comedy and topical s. The Empress Orchestra will also provide an exceptionally good musical programme.
