POSSESSION OF OPIUM

A Chinaman named Yuen Hing, who was represented by Mr. H. F. O'Leary, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to-day to a charge of having been found in possession of opium in a form suitable for smoking, on 28th March, 1922, and he was fined £25. Mr. O'Leary said that Hing was an old man, arid opium smoking was one of the joys of his life.
