TALLOW SALES.
Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. announce receipt of a cable from Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, 29th March, as follows :—"At tallow auctions to-day 1930 casks .were offered, of which 200 casks were sold. Tallow has declined 6d per cwt; very little demand." '
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the jfollowing cablegram from their London house 'under date 29th March:—"Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, 42s 3d per cwt; good beef, ■103 9d per cwt; mixed, 35s 3d per cwt; market inactive. New Zealand Frozen Meat: Lamb, Hid ncr lb; market weaker. Mutton : Quotations- unchanged; market steady. Beef: Small demand; market weak. Quotations nominal and unchanged."
