Sick drafts for ailing members and other accounts were .passed, and the' meeting closed to permit the carrying out of a previously arranged social evening. A large number of members, visitors from kindred lodges, and friends attended, and a most enjoyable time was spent, with dances, games, and musical items. The pianist was Miss Beardsmore. Songs were contributed by Miss Finch, Mr. Peterson, Bros. Nolan, Rikiana, and Kingi Tahawi; recitations by Sister 0. Gordon; arid violin soloa by Mr. Anstead. The first steps in this direction have been the repent creation of a District Hospital Fund, covering members and' their deoendents, and provision for a juvenile (boys) lodge. Proceeds of the art union were reported to be very 'satisfactory.
