Mr. William Toomath, son of the late Mr. E. Toomath, a well-known schoolmaster in the early days, has been appointed to the position of assistant secretary and organiser to the Early Settlers' and Historical Association. Mr. Toomath's duties as organiser will be the building up of a strong membership of the association, it being realised that a personal appeal is necessary for that purpose. Mr. W. A. Edwards st^H retains the position of general secretary, and will devote the principal part of his lime to the historical work of. the association.
