FURTHER NEGOTIATIONS.

(AUSTRALIAN - NF.W ZEALAND OABLB ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 24th March. The ballot of engineering and ship- I building operatives resulted :— For the acceptance of the employers' demands 49,503 Against 164,759 The result will' probably be a lock-1 out of all unions in bulk. ! The Engineering Shipbuilding Federation has decided to advise all affiliated members to cease work >on Tuesday until the result of the ballot on the bonus cut is known. LONDON, 25th. March. ' The engineering situation is move hopeful. The employers and unions have agreed to resume negotiations on Monday. The lock-out notices will probably be ■withdrawn while the negotiations proceed.
