TARARUA TRAMPING CLUB
ThY members of the Tararua Tramping' Club held a lecture-social in the V.M.C.A. rooms last evening, when the muster was larger than on any recorded tramp, showing that there is a notable social-indoor side to the\club's activities as well as an outdoor'side. Lantern slides of photographs taken at the Tongariro National Park, at the Maryborough Sounds, and on various tramps were shown, with explanatory remarks by the chief guide, Mr. F. W. Vossoler, who mentioned incidentally that, on the last Oiongorongo trip, the tampers were hospitably entertained by Mr. Sempla and his co-operative lunneller». Members of the club have now traversed the Orongorongo from' its source right down to the weir-site.
A handsome silver cup has been donated to tli a Wriirarapa Rurfby Union for competition by Mr. tt, J. Paul, of thu Club Hotel, Cartetton;
