According to the records of trade inquiry agents, il6o traders have failed in the "United Kingdom- since January. A : feature of the failures is the shrinkage of assets owing to ruinous, realisation- of stocks bought at the top of the market. In numbers of cases the 1 dividends will not reach a shilling in the pound, the record being a boot manufacturer, who paid a fifth of a. penny in the pound.
