A party of expert Swiss mountaineers will later join the expedition, provided with oxygen apipai"atus for use in the rarefied air in the upper regions of the mountains. All the details are being carefully arranged from experience gained during the last expedition. '
[A message received a month ago said that there would be six climbers in the expedition—Lieutenant-Colonel Strutt, Major Norton, Dr. 'VVakeneld, and Messrs. Mallory, Finch, and Spmervell, all first-class mountaineers. Dr. Longstaff would act. as surgeon to the expedition, and Major Noel would bo the photpgrapher. The party would reach the bnse early in May, so- that the final assault, could be made- at the beginning of June, when Mount Everest was most vulnerable.] ■'-.
