Much of it travelled', and a good proportion of the ewes were of inferior'quality. There was a fair cleai-ance, good ewes selling spiritedly, buf lambs were slightly easier, particularly the poorer sorts. Forward rape lambs realised 14s 3d. to 16s Id, good lambs 12s 6d to 14s, medium 9s 6d to 12s, small and inferior 7s to 9s 3d, cull ewes to 6s 9d, good 4 and 6-tooth ewes 18s 9d to 225, good 18s 9d to 21s, ordinary 14s ,9d to 18s, low-conditioned and interior 9s to 13s 6d, inferior twotooth ewes 11s 6d to 14s, gooff five-year-old 12s 6d to 15» 9d, rape 7s 6d to 9s 3d, cull 2s 2d to 5s 64, good forward 4to 6-tooth wethers 15a to 17s 2d, fair 12s to 14s 9d, inferior 9s 6d to 11s 6di, twotooth 11s 6d to 15s 3d, inferior two-tooth 9s 3d to lls.

Fat Lambs.—so4o were pennedi, a big proportion being lighter sorte. There was a further easing over all, the price being 6^d. Butchers secured the bigger proportion of heavier sorts. Extra prime lambs made from 22s 6d to 255, prime from 18s 9d" to 225, medium 16s 3d to 18s 6d, light and unfinished 13s 9d to 16s. Fat Sheep.—An overflow yarding, three-quarters, being ewes; Good prime wethers practically held their own, but all other- classes were easier, particularly heavy ewes*. Freezers secured the bulk of the lightweight sheep, values coming comfortably within their limits. Extra prime wethera made up to 29s 9d; primel 19s 3d to 235, medium 17s 3d to 19s, light 15s to 17a,. prime owes^ 16s to 19s sd, medium 13s 9d to 15s 9d, light and infeiior. 9s ,to 13s 6d. ' : ■■ Fat Cattle.—An easier market than last week, and there was considerable "passings" in secondary quality beef. Extra prime steers made from £15 W £19 ss, prime £10 10s to £14, medium £8 to £10 ss, inferior £6 5s to £7 15s, extra prime cows £8 15s to £10 2s 6d, prime £5 10s to £8 ss, ordinary £3 5s to £5 7s'6d, prime heifers £6 to £8 10s, ordinary £4-to £5 15s.

Vealers.—Calves fit for butchering sold well. Bunners brought up to £5, good' vealers £3 to £3 15s, medium £1 17s 6d to £2 2s 6d, small calves 3s upwards. Store Cattle.—Three and four-year-o'.d steers made from £4 to £4 15s, two-year-old £2 to £2 10b, yearling steers 15s to £1 2s 6d, two-vear-'old heifers £4, yearling heifers £1 17s 6d to £2, medium cows £1 7s 6d to £1 17s 6d.

Dairy Cattle.—A big yarding, including some purebred cattle, which soTd well. Values for ordinary staff were about equal .to late rates. Good second and third cnlvevs made from £8 to £12, ordinary £4 to £7 ss, good springing heifers £13, ordinary £7 10s to £11, agedtand inferior cows £1 10s to £4.

Fat Piars. —Choppers made from £2 10s to £3 15s, light baconers £3 5s to £3 10s, heavy bnconers £4 to £4 10s, pxtra heavy\£s (average price Tier lb 6Adl),. lio-ht porkers 47s to 525, heavy 553~ to 60s (average price per lb 8d bo BAd). Store Pigs.—A weaker demand." Large, stores, brought up to 455. medium 20s to 32s 6d, good weaners 10s to 12s, small 5s to 9a, sows in pig £3 13s.
