SWIMMING
WELLINGTON GIRLS' COLLEGE.
The annual swimming sports of the Wellington Girls' College were held at the Te Aro Baths this morning.' Miss J. Marchbanks, sports- mistress, was in charge, and Mr. J. Calnan. of the baths, officiated as starter. The following are the results :—Senior headers E. Norwood 1,1. Searle 2; junior headers, J. Zohrab 1, H. Archer 2; junior 30yds championship, G. Norton-Taylor 1, L Bennett 2; senior sOyds champion- E. Wells 1, U. Curtis 2; junior school, J. Frost 1, H. Alpin 2; senior swim-on-back, L. Huggins 1, H. East 2; under 14, J. Bennett 1, J. Wright 2; running dive, E. Norwood 1, J. Zohrab 2; junior 30yds breaststroke, J. Zohrab 1, G. Layloe 2; senior 50yds breaststroke, E. Wells 1, K. Reeee 2; 30yds (non-championship), K. Essen 1, E. Markman 2; life-saving, E. Norwood ; junior swim-on-back, E. Pra.gnell 1, E. Sneddon 2; forms relay, Vc. 1, 111 com. 2; high dive, E. Norwood 1, E. Wells 2; old girls' race, O. Warrine 1, V. Bodio 2.
The diving cup was won by E. Norwood, with 9 points. The Junior Champion is J. ZohTab with 6 points, and the ranner-up G. Norton-Taylor, with 5 points. The Senior Championship is yet to bo decided, after the 75yds race has been swum.
