METHODISTS APPROVE AMEND
MENTS.

SYDNEY, 7th March.
The Methodist Conference has approved amendments to the basis of union with the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches adopted at the recent combined conference, and continued cooperation in the work, with a view to eventual union. It also passed a motion of sympathy with the Lambeth "Conference appeal in the direction of th© union of the whole of the Protest-ant Churches.
