CENTENARY CONFERENCE.
(IT TIIMIUM—PRIII AJIOCMTIOH.)
AUCKLAND, 23rd February.' The Methodist centenary conference was continued to-day. It was resolved to send an address to the King, expressing the loyalty of all1 Methodists in New Zealand. A message of congratulation is to be sent to the Rev. Josiah Ward, of Cartertori, oh' the completion of fifty y_ears' ministry in.New Zealand. Committee work occupied the afternoon, and a thanksgiving service was held this evening, the president (Rev. C. H. Laws) preaching on "Remembrance and Faithfulness."
The following laymen, representing the' varidus districts, were elected a stationing committee :—Auckland : Messrs. Veale, Peak, and Holdsworth; South Auckland : Messrs. Tidd and Rayner; Wanganiii and Taranaki: Messrs.. J. Dickson, M.P., and Ainbury; fjawkes Bay and Manawatu : Messrs. Hodder and Veriables; Wellington: Messrs. Daniel arid Denton; Nelson: jfressrs. Perry and Pulley ; North 'Canterbury : Messrs. Isitt, M.P., Kershaw, and Buttle; South Canterbury : Messrs. Watson and Workman; Otago : Messrs. Roseveare and George; ; Solomon Island: Mr. Field.
