A charming description of "A Factory Garden" is given in the Christchurcn Press, one that brings before the reader a vision of'colour which is delightful. 'A glue factory does not sound very interesting, but .as there are about two acres of garden belonging to the premises, it alters the view in a most satisfying manner. There is a. glass houae with beautiful foliage and other plants. A carnation garden, a rose garden, with flowers from cream to crimson to tangerine, was' showing its third series of flowers for the season. There are about 1000 bushes with the collection. The plants are in circular or crescent borders all bordered with blue lobelia. The title of the factory is also "grown" in handsome blue lobelia. Below this is a terrace with vari-coloured Mesembryanthemums, and facing it a mass-.of pink, white, scarlet, and crimson phlox. There are tennis courts laid out and' further garden with calceolaria/ geraniums, verbenas, dwarf marigolds, dianthus, bonfire salvias, petunias, marguerites and a host of other lovely blossoms.
