SPRINGBOKS AT HAMILTON 1.
HAMILTON, 7th February. The Springbok athletes competed at a sports meeting here to-day and gave a fine exhibition before a large crowd. The Springboks started off scratch in all events. Following are the results of the events in which the visitors were engaged:— lOOydg (open): Hart, 1; Oosterlaak (South Africa) and Hyde, dead heat, 2. 880 yds: Shirtcliffe, 1; M'Geghan,"2; Prosser, 3. Johnson (South Africa) withdrew 200 yds from home. 120 yds Championship: Oosterlaak (South Africa), 1; Kinsman (South Africa), 2; Bukes (South Africa), 3. Time, 12sec. 1000 yds Championship": Leathern (South Africa), 1; W. Prosser, 2; Shirtcliffe, 3. Time, 2min 25 2-ssec. 220 yds Handicap: Bukes (South Africa), 1; Kinsman (South Africa), 2. Time, 22isec. 440 yds Handicap: Johnson (South Africa), 1; Hart, 2; M'Micken, 3. Time, 51 3-ssec. One Mile Handicap: W. Prosser, 1; Donovan, 2; Leathern (South Africa), 3. ■ Quarter Mile Relay Race: South Africa, 1; Cambridge, 2; Hamilton, 3. Oosterlaak's time in the 120 yds championship ,was the beat he had ever j done.
