PRE-MILLENNIAL ADVENT ASSOCIATION
The fourth annual conference of the Pre-Millenhial Advent;. Association will Open this evening in the Concert Chamber, when the Very Rev. Dr. G. E. Weeks will deliver the presidential address. This association stands more particularly (or the inspiration of the Bible. It emphatically proclaims the clear and simple old-fashioned doctrine that" the Holy Scriptures as originally given were definitely "God-breathed," not only as regards the ideas and thoughts, but ."in. the words which' the Holy •■ Spirit teacheth." It further maintains that the Scriptures clearly teach that the Christian hope is centred in the fact of the promised return of Christ, which must be personal, literal, and visible, while it deprecates strongly the fixing qf any definite date for the second advent, yet, taking the signs one by one which Christ said should herald His coining, its speakers claim to produce evidence that these signs are iiow literally taking place/in' the world, making it certain that Christ's return may occur at any moment. The association's executive has secured wellknown speakers to expound its teachings. These include, in addition to the president (Dr. Weeks, M.A., 8.D., LL.D,), Dr. Stewart Mac Coll (one of Melbourne's leadipg medical specialists), the Revs. W. Lamb, A. A. Murray (Auckland), H. G. Hercus (Hamilton), W. G. Williams, B.A. (Wanganui), Mr. Forde Carlisle (Palmerston North), H. G. Howe (Rector All Souls', Sydney), and the Hon. W. H. Edgar, M.L.C., of Melbourne. The meetings are arranged to be held every week (afternoon and evening) in the' Concert Chamber, and Sunday sessions -ir the large Town Hall, from 7th February to l9th February, inclusive.
