The Bank of England discount rate is 5 per cent, since 3rd November. The open market rate lor three aontbs' bills is nominally 3] per cent. a» compared with / 6 7-16 per cent, lart week. Short loans are quoted at 5J per cent, as against 3i per cent, last week.
