A cable message received by the Union Company'states that the Manuka l«ft Sydney at 11 o"clock yesterday morning for Wellington direct with -340 passengers; Due here on Monday morning next the Manuka will leave again en the return trip at .11 a.m. on Thursday. ESSEX AND SOMERSET. Th* Federal Line has been advised that the steamer Essex, in continuation of her ••-voyage from Wellington, left Newport News - on the 17th December for London. The Somerset left Liverpool on Saturday last catgo-ladeh for AucHand, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel Is due at Auckland on the sth February, and at Wei. ' Ilngtoo a week later. . . According to advice received by the Union Company, th- steamer Waimarino left San Francisco on the Bth December with general cargo for Auckland, Wellington, lyttelton, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Waimarino is due at Auckland about the 2nd January, and at Wellington a few days later. Tho C. and D. liner Porft Victor la due at Wellington to-night from Tokomaru Bay „ complete Hpmeward loading. The vessel ia to sail next Friday for. London.
