STEAMER RIMU DAMAGED

The steamer Rimu, on the voyage from Onehunga to Kawhia, after crossing' the Manukau Bar, encountered terrifio seas, which submerged her repeatedly, i The deck| cargo, was washed away, and considerable damage done in the forward hold. When she reached Kawhia there were four feet of water in the hold. Temporary repairs were effected there, and the vessel returned to Onehunga last night.
