Forde, and Catlolw, Messrs. G. L. Hay (V.M.C.A.), J. Roberts (Alliance of Labour), M'Kenzie, R. S. Denton, S. Pearson, P. Fraser, M.P., Tuohy, Loughnan J. Thorn (Maoriland '.Worker), Marks,Ruck, Dawson, T. Brindle, and O'Rourke. On the motion of the Rey. S. Beckingham, president of the Ministers' Association, those present'formed themselves', into a, committee with power to add to their number.

An executive committee consisting of the Rev. S. Beckingham, Mrs. M. J. Fqrde, Messrs. O. E. Burton, S. Pearson, J. Roberts,, and P., Fraser, M.P., wasappointed, with instructions to attend'to detail work and to form as influential and helpful a committee as possible. It is intended to approach all responsible citizens, all religious bodies, social organisations, - and trades unions for their assistance and co-operation, and] a publicity campaign will be undertaken. _ _ \■; A considerable number of citizens who were active workers in the Save the Children Fund last year were present, and indicated wieir willingness to assist.
