The Union Company advises that the Waitomo is due at Wellington on Tuesday next with a load of coal from Newcastle. The Wingatui,. due at Wellington on Saturday from .southern ports, will sail the eamo ■ day for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. WHAKATANE PtTTS BACK. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Whakatane left Wellington at 6.20 o'clock this morning for Melbourne, but she bad not proceeded very far when she developed boiler trouble, which necessitated her putting, back. The Whakatane arrived in the stream at 8.00 o'clock. She will continue on her way as soon as repairs are effected.
Advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill, and Albion' Company that- the liner Tainui, which left Wellington on the 26th - November, continued her voyage to London from Colon on the 18th December. -
