PETONE MAGISTRATES COURT
The monthly sitting of the Petpoo Magistrate's Court was held to-day before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. William Bowden and T. J. Jackson were each fined 40s and 7s costs for exceeding the speed limit in motor-cars. A similar offence cost D. O'Reilly 20s and 7s costs. Thomas G. Wakeham, for refusing to disclose to the police the name of the driver of another car, was fined 20s, with 28s costs. .
Mrs. Twyneham, was granted a aeparation order from D. C. Twyneham, with custody of her child, and maintenance at the rate of 20s per week. Wong Too, for keeping premises in such a condition. that they might, harbour rats, was fined 20s and 28s costs, and ordered to remove empty cases from the backyard within twenty-four hours. A. H. Hancock, a soap-maker, was fined £5 and ZBb costs od a similar charge, and was ordered to forthwith provide a ratproof building for the storage of open tins of fat, and also to remove all empty tins and lumber from inside the premises.
