. The Legislative Council met at 10.30 a.m.

The Roman Catholic Archbishop Empowering Bill, which enables lands unsuitable for church purposes to be sold, and tho proceeds used for the purchase of other lands, or for the erection of churches or school buildings, was read a second time.

The Public Holidays Amendment Bill was put through all stages and passed. The Council rose at 11.13 a.m. until tho ringing of the bell.
