HUTT PARK

The quarterly meeting of the Hutt Park Committee was held last evening. There were present Messrs. Brockelbank, Cook, Dempiey, Green, and Hartley. In the absence of Mr. Bishworth, Mr. Brockelbank was elected chairman. The balance-sheet for the year ending 31st MaTch, 1&21, was received from the Auditor-General. It was considered and approved. Mr. 0. J. Cullen's application to lease a portion of land on each aide of the river was not entertained. The secretary reported that' the right to use the park by the Canterbury Aviation Company had realised £7 63. Accounts amounting to £73 11s were paseed for payment. The secretary re-, ported that beside casual picnics over 1000 persons were,already booked to use the park during the summw months. The question of granting rights and fixing a fee foi the permission to sell soft drinks on the park was left in the bands of the ex-committee.
