NELSON COLLEGE
OLD BOYS HOLD RE-UNION.
Old Boys of Nelson CoUoge attended a re-union last evening, and proved .thai' they still take s, strong interest and a natural pride in their old i school. The function took the form of a smoke concert. Mr. G. W. Barltrop .(president of the association) presided, and other well-known old boys present Were Messrs. H. Blundell, J. Burnett, J. P. Firth, L. Buckeridge, R. W. Shallcrass, Professor Boyd-Wilson, and General Sir Edward,Chaytor. Toasts honoured were: "The King," "The Old School" (proposed by Mr. Bavltrop and responded to by Messrs. Bunny and Devenish), and " Kindred Associations" (prSposed by Mr. Shallcrass). Appreciation of i the services rendered by Mr. H. L. Fowler, late principal of the college; was expressed, and those present, also spoke enthusiastically of the appointment of Mr. Q. H. Broad, himself an old boy, to the headmastership. During the evening a musical programme was contributed to by Messrs. 6. J. Hill, H. F/Wood, A. Fuller, and L. Buckeridge. .'
