WOOL STATISTICS.
Messrs. Dalgety ' and Co., Christchurch, report that for the five months ended 30th September, 81,106 bales of wool were ottered in New Zealand, and 72,130 were sold, as compared with a' quittance of 26,827 baless for the corresponding period of 1920. The exports of wool during the five months were 171,007 bales, as compared with 178,063 bales for the corresponding period of 1920. ■
The New Z«al»nd Loan aiid Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London hous«, under date 7th . December :—^"Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions :—Fine • mutton, t! (t per cwt; good beef, £2 Os 6d per cwt; mixed,. £l-15s per cwt.. At sale by auction the market was dull with downward tendency. New Zealand Frozen.Meat: Wether and maiden ewe, light, S^d per lb; frozen beef,, ox, hWds, 5d per lb. For other descriptions, the market is dull, with downward tendency." : . . ■
