HEMP PRODUCTION

Mr. A. H. Cookayne, omoer-in-oharge of hemp grading, reports that the total number of bales of hemp graded during November ltst was 7549, as oompared with 6835 for the corresponding period of last year, an increase of 714 bales. For the twelve months ended 30th November, 1921 the number of bales .graded was 61,882, as compared with 90,046 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of, 28,164 bales. During the month 1424 bales of tow were graded, as oompared with 1555 for the same month of last year, a decrease of 111 bale*.
