THE CITY LOAN
The Mayor (Mr. R.A. Wright, M.P.) lias received certain information regarding the.raising, on the London market, of the city loan of £750,000. He says that the time is not opportune for a public statement. He has called.a special meeting of the Finance Committee for this .evening, N suid he will make a statement in committee at the council meeting later. ,' .-""'. . :.
