HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.

The High 'Commissioner, in his review. of the London dairy produce market ai on 19th November, advises:— " Good inquiry for best qualities of butter, which are disposed of without difficulty. Home supplies scarce. Irish, ■ salted, 184s to 196s per cwt ,(Is 7jd to Is 9d per lb); unsalted, 198s to 205s per cwt (Is 9id to Is lOd per lb). ■ Danish, in short supply, partly owing to good Continental demand, cold weather affecting production; 248s to 254s per cwfc (2s 2£d to 2s 3Jd per lb), occasionally 260s (2s 3fd). Colonial: Good inquiry for newly arrived. Australian: Salted, 176s to 185s per cwt (Is 6id to Is 8d per lb);. unsalted, 196s to 200s per cwt lls 9d to Is 9^d per lb). New Zealand :■■ Salted, 198s, 200s, and up to 202s per cwt (Is 9id, Is 9£d, Is 91d per lb). The Athenic is expected to discharge towards the end of next week, sellers asking game price. Argentine: Salted, 186s to 194s per cwt (Is 8d to Is BJd per lb). Government stocks: Better feeling reported last week continues at prices then quoted.; " The cheese market is firm, and demand continues good/ English: Finest farmers' quoted at 130s to 140s per cwt (Is 2d to Is 3d per lb). Canadian: White, 100s to 112s per cwt (IOJd to Is per lb); coloured, 96s to 108s per. cwt (10id to Hid'per Jb). New Zealand: White, 94b to 106s per cwt (lOd to Hid per lb); coloured, 86s to 96s per cwt (9id to lOid per lb)." Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram ( from their London house under date of the; 18th inst::— . "Butter.—Market firm owing to small supply. Danish, 248s to 2545. Australian, prime unsalted, 196s to 200s; ' salted, 176s to 186s; . secondary salted, 160s to 1725; inferior salted, 150s to 1565. ; New Zealand, first grade, 198s to 200s. "Cheese.—Market firm, stocks practically cleared. New Zealand, coloured, 86s to 965; white, 94s t6 106s. Canadian, c.i.f. quotation, 105s to 1065."
