The. economic outlook for New " Zealand, was referred to by Sir John. Findlay, who returned to the Dominion yesterday, in an interview. Well-informed ibeople had, he said, expressed the opinion that the present low prices of wool were due to wartime accumulations. The be«fc remedy, hs believed, was to sell wool to- Central Europe on the best terms that could bo secured, taking open market prices. It was better to sell with the hope of ultimate payment than to have the market disorganised by a con« tinned glut. New Zealand's butter, lamb, and mutton could m«9t any competitors. Sir John expressed strong approval of Mr. Massey'-s vigorous support of the inter-Empire trade movement, which was rapidly gaining support, and. was already giving benefit to India and Egypt and to a less degree, New Zealand.
