The council of the New 'Zealand Foot-, ball Association mot x last week; Mr. 0. E. Fordham presiding.l Other members present were Messrs W. G- Bryce, C. F. Ward, 8.. L. Salmon, J. M. Oilier, H. I. Graves, ; and F. Campbell. Permission was given for the following matches tp be played:—Canterbury V.M.C.A. v. Ashburton, on Ist October-Mano-watu v. Palmers,ton North, on Ist October- Auckland v. South/ Auckland (Brown Shield majjeh), at ABckland on Ist October. _ • ' . The decision of a meeting of delegates to resuscitate the' Taranaki Fpotbajl Asßociafion was announced. There would a 8 ?°,^'?W^ y 'n a' Su.a?'antee for an AustraHan mafch next sej^pn. , Wetland AsßooiatiDn advised that there would be no difficulty in raising its quota towards the cost of the Australian tour next season. It \yi»js depided to, ask the Westland Association to forward an explanation as to why a' club secretary had interfered with_ certain players taking nart in a recent fnter-island game. _ The ' Aupkland ' Associatjon wrote statjng.thafc it was ai surprise' that a question • should Have risen »bPut Dacre |, playing for Auokland in a Brown Shield match against Wellington, a 9 this player had lived in Auckland all his life and had been/ registered as a player by the North Shore Club at the commencement of £he season.' Cpfrectly speaking, he have been transferred from Auckland to Wellington early in, the season. They were quite ignprant of his having Played in Wellington. It was decided to ask both the Auckland and Wellington Associations to forward thp registration form .of this player, and to recommend Auckland by telegram that, ho should pot be played against Soulih Auckjand. *
