LAWN TENNIS
PETONE CLUB.
The Petone Tennis Club held its official opening on Saturday afternoon, .the Mayor (Mr. J. W. M'Ewan) performing the ceremony hi.the presence of a large number of members and visitors, including players froir the Brougham Hill and Lower Hutt Clubs. The courts, which had been recently renovated, were in excellent condition, and after the Mayor had delivered the first service some interesting sotr were played. The ladies' committee provided, refreshments.
