CARTERTON-PETONE THIRDS
A team representing the Oarterton tihird .grade met the Petone thirds at Petone on Saturday afternoon. An interesting gams was provided, and! play inlhe closing stages was exciting. With. the strong wind in their favour Carterton put on 15 points in. the first spell, Petone scoring three. The local team made strong efforts after half-time to wipe off tile deficiency, but failed, although only by on-e point. The game ended': Oarterton IS, Petone 14. Mi-. Herron was the referee.
