PROPOSAL to raise a Special Loan under "The.Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," upon which a poll will be taken upon WEDNESDAY, the 2nd day, of November, 1921. Proposed Special Loan of £50,000, .interest at 6i per cent, per annum, Sinking Fund lj per cent. In tho matter of tl»o Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, public notice is hereby given that tho Eastbourne Borough Council proposes to Taiso : Special Loan of £50,000 for tho following undertakings : — The sum sot against. each item being tho sum proposed to be borrowed for each such purpose. £ Purchase of steamer, cost of delivery in N.Z. Reconditioning present steamers First year's interest sinking fund 40CO Expenses (Sundries) 1600 The council proposes to pledge a special rate of 7Jd in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough as security for the said loan and tho interest thereon, and for a sinking fund of lj per cent, as an annual recurring rate for a period of thirty years from the raising of the loan. The loan shall be repayable at the expiration of the said thirty years. It is proposed, to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising such loan and tho interest and sinking fund for the first year.
