INCENDIARISM BY REBELS.

A large body of rebels in the Palghat district burned the records of the Monnarghat Courthouse and also set fire to the forests and burned a number of buildings.

DELHI, 14th September. Twelve hundred rebels are preparing to dofend Nilambur. There is wholesale looting in the Ernad district. Another large band located in the vicinity threatened to attack Palghat, but failed to materialise, and a hundred arrests were made.

A message from Calicut- states that when military columns passed the rebels would emerge from hiding and recommence their depredations.
