PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRATT.
A picture that calls for much thought and attention is "The Witching Hour," a new seven-reel Paramount release, which opened at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres to-day^ It is a smooth. even vehicle for conveying the message that thoughts are actual forces. A strong cast interprets the' story. It includes Elliott. Dexter, Winter Hall. Ruth Renick. Robert Cain, Mary Alden. and Fred Turner. Beautiful glimpses of picturesque English scenery are, incorporated in "The Call of Youth." the second feature, on the programme, which was made by the Paramount British producers in their new studio near London. Since it was actually made in England, it was possible to obtain those choice' scenes of, beauty in which the country abounds. One of the most striking shows a great sweep of English coast with a tiny village resting snugly under a huge- cliff. Watersmeet, one of the loveliest places in Devonshire, is the trysting place '■ for the lovers whose romance is the basin of the story.
