PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.
Elsie Ifarguson, in "Tho Avalanche," and Charles Ray, in "Hay Foot, Straw Foot," make their first appearance at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres tonight, also Miss Phyllis Massey in song. " O'MALLEY OF THE MOUNTED."
In his latest photoplay, "O'Malley of the Mounted," which comes to the Paramount and Artoraft Theatres to-morrow, William S. Hart has perhaps the best starring vehicle in his screen career. It is a stxwy of the Royal Mounted Police of Canada, arid from start to finish is one of those photoplays in which Air. Hart excels as interpreter of strong virile men, and his portrayal of Sergeant O'Malley holds one to the jend. Mr. Hart is author of the story, and h_ .leading woman is Eva Novak, a charm < ing actress. Magnificent interior settings ■form the background for "Beau Revel," the second feature on Friday's programme. Ballrooms of palatial proportions, fashionable apartments, and country dubs frequented by the most exclusive members of the "smart set," furnish attractive surroundings for the love escapades of the wealthy and worldlywise Lawrence Revel. This is undoubtedly one of-the strongest programmes submitted at the favourite theakes. 'Commencing on ' Monday, the Welsh choir, numbering twelve singers, will make a,n appearance.
