Mr. Robert B. Hart, a survivor of the Battle of Waireka, died at New Plymouth last week, at the age of 90.
Mr. Robert M'Kegg, managing director of tho Cook Islands Trading Company, who has been on a business visit to New'.Zealatid, left Wellington yesterday on'his return to the Islands.
Mr. E. N. G. Poulton, who, in his capacity "of- -private secretary to the Minister of External Affairs, has been visiting Samoa, is reported to have met ■with a slight accident, necessitating the temporary use of crutches. Mr. Poulton returns to Wellington next week. THe" resignation of Mr. W. T. Cotton as a member of the Council of of the Wellington Central Chamber of Com-merca-was- received at yesterday's meeting pf the chamber. At the request of fellow-councillors, Mr. Cotton agreed to withdraw his resignation, pending the annual meeting of the chamber. He was
