Winds—Westerly, strong to gale prevailing. Barometer—Rising tendency, bot fall again soon.
Seas—Very heavy on all the western coast; heavy southward of Castlepoint; rough oft shore elsewhere.
Tides—Moderate on all the eastern coast; good elsewhere. Warning signals for westerly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Tlritiri. (East Cape interrupted), Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen Island, Farewell Spit, Cape Foulwind, and Nugget Point. Weather—Stormy weather may be expected; rain probable generally; snow on the higher levels, and rivers flooded in the West Coast and in the southern districts.
