PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.

Miss Elsie Ferguson plays a triple role, embracing three distinct types, in "The Avalanche," the feature attraction in the current programme at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres. "Hay Foot, Straw Foot," a comedy-drama, does not fail to live up to the Charles Kay brand of humour. "The Summer Girl," featuring Mack Sennett's bunch of bathing beauties, is a comedy of a high-class order. *Miss Phyllis Massey was heard to great advantage in her vocal number, "Break o' Day." There will be a repetition to-night and tomorrow.
