Cabinet has been called to consider the Kobe strike, which has again assumed violent features. The police drew their sabres, and in a skirmish with the strikers wounded more than fifty. Several thousand labourers in various industries ceased work, and marched to shrines staging Labour songs. The Municipal Assembly at Kobe carried a motion condemning the police use of sabres.
