The Telephone branch of the Post and ■Telographic Department ' is displaying teudable enterprise in meeting the demands'of the'public and 1 press for rapid communication of tidings of the match at different stages. There will be a for the public, with a charge of 3d for communication within the city area, and usual'toll rates for longer dis- • 'tances. The press is to be provided also iwith the telephones on a far more liberal scale than even in the past. The forethought and enterprise of the authorities jvvill bo much appreciated on all sides. ■ TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Don't you think it time that the local authority that controls recreation grounds in Wellington took action to compel the Rugby Union to iriako adequate arrangements' for conveniences at •Athletic Park? Thousands attend there ■'every Saturday, ah'd the present accommodation, is worse than disgraceful. The ■present main structure has an entrance about 18in wide, and the only exit is;to; fight your way out by the way you come in,- in the face, of many hundreds.
