Dr. Thompson, referring to Mr. Tiernan's reply to the deputation, explains that the reports suggest that Mrs. Fair is endeavouring to evade her obligations, but the Public Trustee has her estate, and refuses to give it. up. Furthermore, he has sworn statements by three Crown Ministers that the in-, quiry cost the applicant nothing.
