AN ATTEMPT TO SPLIT THE ENTENTE CORDIALE
DISPUTE OVER. REINFORCEMENTS.

Attacks upon Allied soldiers on 17th July in Upper Silesia proved the timeliness of Saturday's French Note to Germany, announcing the despatch of French'reinforcements to Upper Silesia. The report of alleged French a.nd. British rivalry is declared to be the clumsiest German attempt to split the Entente Cordiale. *■ • . (AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZBALAND* CABLE ASSOCIATION.) PARIS, 19th July. It is understood that France will'reinforce her' Silesian troops, regardless of whether tho British and Italian forces are augmented. (Received July 21, 9.30 a.m.), ! PARIS, 20th July. Tho Petit Journal states that the British reply to the French Note contests the necessity of sen-ding reinforcements to Upper Siiesia, and insists on an early meeting of the Supreme Council.
