FROM IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
COMPLAINTS ADJUSTED.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN • OTW ZEALAKB CAILE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON", 19th July. Early meetings of the Imperial Conference delegates were bound to observe secrecy similar to that of the Cabinet, as is shown by the fact that Mr... Lloyd George always refers to the gathering in the House of Commons as the Imperial Cabinet. Leakages aro now apparent, and resulted in angry exclumges at to-day's meeting, but the nature of tho complaints has not been disclosed. Firm steps are being taken by tho British authorities to discover tho leakage, which is at times embarrassing., (Received' July 21, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 20th July. j The complaints regarding the leakage of Conference news have been adjusted satisfactorily. Mr: Hughes bitterly complained that someone was divulging secrets for consumption abroad. Informalion. was placed hefore the Conference that General Smuts's speeches were published verbatim in the Hearst papers in the United States.
