EVEREST EXPEDITION
WORK HAMPERED BY MONSOONS

The Everest expedition arrived at Tingri on 19th June, all well, except Mt. Raebrarn, who has been invalided back to Sikkim. The mountaineers are exploring the north-west approaches to Mount Everest. The remainder are making scientific excrnrsicms westward. Four thousand five hundred square miles of new country has been surveyed, but monsoons are hampering the work. The Tibetan name of Mount Everest is Chomo Lungana.
