NEGOTIATIONS FOR RESUMPTION

(AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) WASHINGTON, 19th July. White House has confirmed the report ■that the American Commissioner in Berlin has been instructed to negotiate for a treaty for resumption of diplomatic relations. Officials declined to say whether the negotiations, will result in a separate peace treaty or whether the settlement will be based on the Treaty of Versailles.
